I had no particular issues with my feet, but thought to go for a routine appointment. a few weeks following this appointment, my right large toe was in a lot of pain, and the nail completely infected and rotting away, the podiatrist commented by email that I may or may not be allergic to a fungal nail product he prescribed, but had no further suggestions. The situation was getting worse, and my GP ended up giving me antibiotics. I now went to see another chiropodist and was told the nail has now detached, and I need to have minor surgery to completely remove it!!! This has never happened to me before... Gee... what was I thinking, routine appointment....
