Greg, George (with canine support from Misha) put a new ridge on my listed cottage. Job included tidying up the roof as a whole and replacing wire. Im delighted with the result. Looks beautiful and they were ideal craftsmen - friendly, tidy and thoughtful. Would happily recommend to anyone.

I really can not recommend Greg and his colleague of - Sussex Thatching Ltd - enough. They came out to us at very short notice, for an integral adjustment required in our thatch roof so the installation of our wood-burning stove could proceed accordingly to safety regulations. They worked in driving rain and howling wind to get the job done for us, I couldnt believe what they endured! They were so lovely to deal with I wanted to invite them in for lunch! But they of course had another job to go - theyre busy chaps and I can see why. Needless to say the job was done meticulously. They know their craft/trade well. When our thatch needs work again in the future we will 100% be using Sussex Thatching Ltd. Dont hesitate to book them - their craftsmanship and customer service is first class.

We've just had our roof re-thatched and the result is quite amazing. The old thatch was starting to come off and had left holes; the ridge was also mostly gone. I had a couple of quotes from Master Thatchers as I wanted the job done properly (some previous patching had been costly and not lasted), and elected to go with Sussex Thatching. I particularly liked Greg's professionalism as he climbed all over the roof to see what needed to be done before giving me my quote (he was the only one to go on the roof before quoting). The job was started on the agreed date and finished within the estimated time period, all for the agreed price. I was particularly impressed that any mess (and there was a lot!) was regularly cleared so he left each day with the work site neat and tidy.The result has completely transformed the house which has gone from being in a sorry state to a 'chocolate box' cottage. Many thanks Greg for all your hard work, skill, professionalism and good nature and can only say that anybody needing any thatching work done need look no further.

We didnt get the property in the end but Greg was absolutely amazing to deal with work g out the coatings and work schedules. I love thatched properties and hopefully I will get to report back on the expected high quality of the work
