Phil shot some engagement photos for us, and recently our wedding. In both instances, Phil was very friendly and charismatic, while remaining professional. From the outcome of the engagement shoot, Phil learned the style of photographs that we liked, and clearly applied these learnings to the set-up he was using for our wedding day. He is a master of capturing candour, while also tweaking small details to make the shot the best that it can be. On the wedding day, Phil was charming to the guests while also controlling photo-related situations. He allowed family members to get their own snaps of his set-ups, but wasn't afraid to politely ask guests to move to the side if they were interrupting shots. After the pre-agreed photo-list was completed, Phil stayed for several hours capturing candids of the party, which we cannot wait to see! He also worked excellently with our videographer, whom he'd never worked with, to make sure that there was a good amount of time allocated to capturing both photos and videos. I cannot recommend Phil highly enough. He's professional, attentive to your needs/wants, and a sound guy to boot!

We met Phil at a wedding fair and instantly knew we wanted him as our photographer. His work is so unique and speaks for its self. What we didnt want was hours of posing for shots and waiting for group shots, taking up so much time on our big day. Phil was unobtrusive and got the best out of everyone, even the most reluctant guest. The run up to the wedding we were in constant contact with Phil who was better than our wedding planner s and sorted a timeline of the day making everything run so smoothly. We had meet Phil at Lumley Castle and decided on shots around the grounds. But to our dismay waking up on our wedding morning and seeing it was one of the wettest days of the year was heart breaking! But Phil turned this to our advantage and we have some amazing dancing in the rain shots that are so unique to us. Looking back at our beautiful album the rain was one of the best things to happen on the day! It was Phil who made it possible. He made us laugh and put us at ease creating some of the best memories of our wedding day (how many brides can say they danced in the rain on their wedding day!). We cannot thank Phil enough for our beautiful photographs; our most treasured shots are those perfect moments, when you think no ones watching. Phil captured these beautifully. Thank you Phil we will cherish our photographs forever.
