This company should be applauded for their outstanding customer service. I believed that I had woodworm in the loft. When the representative arrived I explained the problem and I was very relieved to be told that the damages was historic and that I need no further work. They could have told me anything and I'd have believed him. He completely restored my faith in humanity. What a brilliant experience. Thank you very much. What it has prompted me to do, is ensure that I engage them in some damp issues I have in the kitchen because I know I will get an honest professional service. We live in a house built in 1903 and had been having rising damp issues in one of the reception rooms we didn't use very much. We work in the Property industry and Tyne Tees Damp Proofing were recommended by several of our trusted contractors so we decided to give them a call. We really cannot fault them. They attended, were very professional and carried out a very detailed report of what was causing the damp. I had not heard of BFL before or of the IPF and IPE but being French it was easy for me to access a lot of information and reviews about this. I have to say both my husband and I were sceptical at first. What we nicknamed "the magic box" seemed too good to be true! (The French press such as Maison et Travaux were raving about them though and they did win a prize at a prestigious Home Improvement Professionals Fair for their invention!). We trusted the company and decided to give the box a go and if it box didn't work we would simply ask for our money back. We had this installed at the end of October. After only a few weeks we started to say "it's funny, it looks like the paint is going lighter like it's drying out"................ weeks passed and the paint stopped flaking and falling...... more time passed and we have now started using the dining room again as it's almost as though it was never damp in there!!! I used to get discouraged walking into the room as it always smelt very unpleasant (the smell would come back even after airing the room daily). Seeing our newly decorated walls with paint flaking and falling with big stains was just really depressing. These days it feels like a "normal" room in there. No more "fungi" smell and the walls look normal. We were told we would see the full results after 3 months. This is already excellent and I am already very happy with the results!!! Definitely a good move and I am really pleased we decided to give this a try!
