My dog was having trouble with his leg so i phoned for an appointment was told there was told to ring vet call on moorview website which i did, it was 24 for 10minutes in that time the vet couldnt see the problem she told me to ring moorview backworth at 8.30 the next day and get an appoinment which i did, the receptionist i spoke to was terrible she said they didnt have a vet call so didnt know who i was speaking to and how did they know what appointments they had, she called me a liar, then she said there was no appointments until the end of the month this was the 7th, they way she spoke was terrible do you want an appointment or not this went on fior about a minute then she said there a one at monkseaton tomorrow do you wany that one, she was very cheeky. like other companies that record thier conversations i hope this was and they listen to it and either sack her or give her and the rest of the staff training from it. My dog who was only 6 died 10days later. I shouldnt have to fightto get an appoinment like this, and money was always the first topic not the animals welfare. I found this practice and the referals i was sent to very cold and only interested iin the money. Avoid. Go somewhere else.

Several people have mentioned the difference lately at Moorview vets, more driven about money than anything else. I have to agree. We have had to take our Jack Russell this morning to be put to sleep, 17 wonderful years, now I get today was a BH, but to charge 307.00 when people are so upset losing their pet, double the normal price for an injection. I get it if it was an emergency operation, but the injection didn't suddenly double in cost to the Vets today, we were in there no more than 15 minutes. We chose to save our little dog from suffering anymore, I just felt charging double price to put an animal out of pain is not the caring touch you would expect from a vets. I tend to now agree with what some other dog breaders have told us, alas this is our local vet, but we will be registering our other dog elsewhere from today. Speak as you find though. Nothing at all against the staff working there today.

Excellent service. The assistant vetinary nurse was brilliant and did a great job of cleaning Oscar. Thank you.

Weve taken our dog Dexter here for nearly 2 years now & theyve looked after him to the highest of standards. We are part of the pet plan & find it so much easier when we are told what he needs & when. He is greeted by name & always made a fuss of, so weirdly, he loves it there too!
