Overpriced and a multitude of unstated issues with the car from electrical problems to suspension problems.

Great company to deal with, we have now sold 3 of our part exchange vehicles to Mazir from Tyne Vehicle Buyer. Always a prompt payment and collection, no haggling on the pre agreed price and always a fair price paid. Cannot ask for anymore. Here's to more deals. Thanks.

AVOID AVOID AVOID. I purchased a Shogun from TVB in early February 2023. I had the vehicle delivered to my home in the south west, admittedly didnt get the vehicle checked on delivery but had an inspection a few days later. On inspection, it was found that the EGR was faulty, the DPF was in a very bad condition, one of the breather pipes wasnt connected and the other had been welded on as opposed to being bolted on, badly repaired welds evident, clearly and badly bodged at some point and was no longer fit for purpose, the rear exhaust section needed replacing as it was blowing. I was advised that when I bought the vehicle that it had warranty and if anything went wrong that theyd replace or fix the part. I rang the warranty company and was shocked when I was told the warranty was only to the value of 500 and that the parts needed werent even part of the warranty anyway. I contacted the company, Mr Ali, who initially was quite polite, this didnt last unfortunately. I told him of the issues that I was concerned with and gave him prices Id researched to replace the damaged ones. Mr Ali told me that the prices Id provided were totally unreasonable, and that the aftermarket parts he would supply were much cheaper, they were, but are unreliable and of a cheap construction. I spoke with Trading Standards and informed them of the array of issues, they are currently investigating apparently. I paid for an inspection by ACE ( Automotive Consultant Engineers) who provide a comprehensive report in case of court proceedings. The report showed EGR issues, a faulty DPF in a very poor state, as the vehicle was grossly under-powered. I contacted Mr Ali with the findings, who offered to buy the vehicle back rather than replace the parts, I had invested financially into the vehicle at that stage so was unwilling to sell back, also the overview of the vehicle is that it was in quite good condition. After many emails back and forth I decided to carry out and pay for the repairs myself as Mr Ali wasnt going to help me out. To date, I have spent in excess of 2,500 on parts and labour, more to come with a new fuel tank breather pipe as the original is totally missing, this will be another 500 parts and labour. In summaryBEWARE, BEWARE, BEWARE if you purchase a vehicle from TYNE VEHICLE BUYER/AMS AUTO TRADE, NEWCASTLE. I can say with honesty that I wish Id never traded (or trusted) with this company, it has been a very stressful time, exacerbated my medical condition as a result and also cost me a small fortune. The company tell that a warranty is in place should things go wrong, giving you peace of mind that actually doesnt in the end, the warranty isnt worth the paper its written on so dont be fooled. I feel very let down by the extremely poor service Mr Ali has shown, I will NEVER use this company again and would urge potential buyers to go elsewhere. My address was taken down incorrectly for DVLA W for the V5 which cost me a further 25 to get a duplicate and they wouldnt even re- fund me that. This review is a true representation of what occurred despite what Mr Ali will counter with, ask yourself this, Is it worth the risk buying from this company? If you are unfortunate enough to buy a used vehicle form this company please make sure you get a full inspection prior to parting with your cash. Amen.

AVOID THIS COMPANY. COWBOYS. I was interested in a car at Tyne Vehicle Buyer, was urged on the phone to put down a 100 "fully refundable" deposit before seeing it. Drove up to Newcastle to view the car and found that there was a lot of issues with it. It was scratched up, missing trims and had marks all over it, none of which was shown clearly in the pictures or description of the website. We understood that it was a 9 year old car and there would be some marks, but this was more than any reasonable person would've expected. While there, Graeme told us "Since you've been and looked at it, if you decide you don't want it that's fine and we'll refund you". Giving the indication that normally they keep deposits when people don't turn up to view it, which was contrary to what they told us on the phone. Graeme let us leave and said that we could come back the following week to look at it again and make a decision. During that week we received texts saying they wouldn't be willing to repair certain things we pointed out while we were there. We decided that the car just was not in as good condition as we expected and it wouldn't be acceptable, so we called Graeme, who accepted that and hung up. A few days later we called to see where the deposit refund was only to be told by the "director" that "it's my money now" and he didn't believe Graeme would've offered the refund if we decided we weren't happy with the car. Bear in mind we hadn't signed anything, seen any documentation nor received any kind of receipt from the "refundable deposit". The only option left was to reclaim via a chargeback. Seriously do not do any dealings with this company, they put on a nice face, but soon turn nasty if things don't go their way. Edit: We did not agree to purchase it, you know as much as I do that you took the deposit over the phone before we had seen the car and said it was fully refundable. Then we were told you would clean up the absolute mess of a car, we could come look at it again and make a decision
