I was a member here a few years ago, but had to give it up as I was caring for my elderly father at the time. A more friendly bunch of folk you couldn't wish for. Even the first time I arrived they were more than happy to help. I used to bring my daughter too and once again everybody was friendly. What's more .. you don't need your own boat. The club has various boats, from single sculling shells for the expert), beginners boats and even 4 man boats. There used to be an 8-man boat too .. maybe it is still there. BTW .. rowing is with one oar each, sculling you have two oars each.
