        Been going downhill for a while now, highest price chippy in the area and they're hardly open anymore. Bad enough, but the fish I bought today wasn't even cooked. Batter was raw and fish was raw and cold in the middle. Not surprised though, as the base on the last pizza from here was raw as well. Go elsewhere.

        Really loved this shop. I had the famous fish and chips and, let me tell you, ive never had any better fish and chips in the whole of the UK. First of all, the fish was cooked perfectly on both sides and the fish was not curled as Ive experienced in a different chippy. Second, the fish was not soggy and the batter had a wonderful crunch and crispness. Overall, I definitely recommend Gills Chippy to everyone. The staff work very hard ensuring that all of the food is of good quality and is cooked properly. If you ever want to try some proper fish and chips, head down to gills chippy.

        I Found the fish and chips weren't great. The batter on the fish wasn't cooked properly. This has happened twice lately so giving a miss for a while.
