I had an excellent small animal photography workshop with Trai, at Andy Howey's studio. Trai was really helpful in developing my knowledge of my camera, and lessening my reliance on the auto mode and allowing me to get the best out of manual set up and shooting all day. The workshop was friendly and informal with just a nice number of people that everyone got the shots they wanted. I loved the selection of animals and props which made for some really spectacular photos. I can't wait to get booked go go back and do the birds of prey workshop now later this year.

Trai's small animal studio workshop day is a fantastic day, which offers you the opportunity to photography a wide variety of small animals (the tree frogs were my favourite), in a small group (3-4 people), studio setting. The small group size works particularly well for photographers of different abilities and using different gear setups. Despite photographing such small subjects there was always the opportunity to get the shot and angel you wanted. Trai is on hand throughout to help / teach new techniques and makes the day the perfect mix of both fun and educational. I would thoroughly recommend this day and have no hesitations re booking any of her other workshops / safaris.

We recently returned from the Absolute Alaska wildlife photography safari with Trai Anfield which was a thoroughly exceptional experience. Trais attention to detail and thoroughness ensured that our trip delivered the most amazing photographic opportunities with relaxed personal tuition along the way. Our itinerary included Anchorage, Kodiak Island, Katmai National Park and boat trips within the Kenai Fjords from Seward. Trais experience and close contact with providers ensured excellent guides and the very best opportunities for great photography. A particular highlight of the trip was our stay in the Katmai Wilderness Lodge which opened up 4 days of exploration around Kukak Bay in this unspoiled glacial wilderness. We had some great company and memorable moments with our friends, bears and other group members; with Trais relaxed yet attentive approach meshing everything together. Sharing her professional background in media and wildlife, combined with her contagious enthusiasm, Trai provides a very special and unique experience.

My wife and I plus a couple of friends are just back from a wonderful photography centred trip to Alaska with Trai Anfield. The itinerary was well planned, including 4 nights in the exceptional Katmai Wilderness Lodge ( the only accommodation in this huge national park ). A new experience was to fly out there in small seaplanes. Expert guides took us out for the whole day on small, landing craft type boats to photograph from the water and also land for us to wade across salmon rivers to find bears in their natural habitat. We also had time in Seward to travel out in boats for whale watching and up fjords to see glaciers. With just 6 in the group plus Trai it was an intimate, informal and highly productive adventure. Trai is delightful company and always keen to advise and educate in a positive manner. She is not only a great photographer but has a long history of interest and documentary making with wildlife.

Wow Trai, you have done it again! What an incredible trip!! We have just returned from Alaska on another amazing wildlife and photography experience with Trai and a really lovely group of like minded enthusiasts. After being postponed twice due to international travel restrictions, we finally got there this year and it was well worth the wait. Huge bears chasing salmon (and each other) - just yards away from us at times, but no worries about safety at all - or just striding out across the vast, stunningly beautiful, landscape. Humpback Whale, Orca, sea otters, glaciers, not to mention the whole Alaska experience, staying in hotels and a really comfortable lodge in the wilderness (fantastic food and local guides) and travelling around in small float planes. I have never taken so many pictures on a trip before! As ever, Trai was a brilliant guide and great company. Her love of nature and of photography is infections and her passion for maintaining the highest possible ethical standards/respect for the wildlife makes her trips far more than just photographic holidays. Trai really could not have done more to make sure we enjoyed the trip, as well as providing invaluable tips on how to take (and process) the best possible photos to remind ourselves of where we have been and what extraordinary sights we have seen. We can not thank you enough Trai for making this dream happen!
