Horrendous place. My mam came here for a 4 week assessment from hospital following a fall at home . She left hospital able to stand and walk a short distance. In here she was left sitting all day or wheeled everywhere even the short distance from her room to the dining room . With having arthritis in her knee it was essential to keep her moving . I was on at the head nurse everyday about lack of movement. Ignored my concerns so after a couple of days her knee had locked in the sitting position causing her agony. Was that bad she could hot even weight bear and needed to be hoisted . Disgrace . What I think added to the problem was the wheelchairs . Most had broken or no footrests putting even more pressure on her legs left dangling . The place itself is absolutely filthy . The ground floor is ok but go up in lift to middle floor is like stepping into another place .Out of sight out of mind. The stench of stale urine is disgusting even through a mask . Never smelt any disinfectant on any of my visits. The chairs are all scruffy and stained dirty sticky floors and my man's bedding was not fit for a dogs bed . Ripped holy sheets and dirty fleeces instead of a duvet.I have tried numerous times to put photos on of the state of the place but my review gets took down when I do . The hygiene of my mam in here was appalling. Her toiletries and toothbrush were still unopened after 4 weeks. One reason been is you could not get into her bathroom as it was treat like a storage cupboard. Filled with wheelchairs Zimmer frames commodes etc. Also I regularly found her in other people's dirty ripped clothing and nightwear. Unhygienic even worse with COVID . A lot of her clothes went missing. Another way my mam deteriorated was lack of stimulation. With having dementia keeping her mind active was essential . In here she was kept in her room all day with the TV blasting. I visited everyday and never once saw any activities for the residents . My mam left hospital happy and chatty.Always chatting to the nurses Within a couple of weeks in here she was like a zombie. I have a couple of MUCH more serious issues but not suitable for Google. My advice AVOID. .After numerous phone calls managed to get my mam transferred to an excellent care home.

Management at the place is a joke and doesn't care less about the staff or residents

My Dad was in the care of Addison Court from leaving hospital until his unfortunate passing. We cannot fault the care he received here, The facilities are very good, well maintained and the place is pleasant to be in. The real strength here though, is the staff. They are amazing. The medical and personal care given was brilliant and my Dad's dignity was maintained throughout. My Mam, who was going through hell at the time, was supported and helped through this by the staff, although they had enough on their plates and we're not obliged to extend their care to her. The staff at Add ison Court made the hardest time of our lives that little bit easier and we will always be grateful for that. If you are looking for somewhere for a loved one to be cared for, we cannot recommend this place enough.
