Have used Whickman Plumbing several times before for boilers, radiators and a shower cubicle. Always get on well with David, Joanne and all the staff. This time it was the shower room. And another fantastic job. So pleased with the results. It looks amazing. Looking forward to connecting the main bathroom into an ensuite Service: Shower installation

We contacted whickham heating and plumbing for a quote for a new boiler. They came out quickly and within the time slot offered. It was the director David who came out. We found him a little cheeky he called us cheap skates for the boiler we currently had which cost 700 in 2010 (may we add, this boiler had given us no problems at all over the 11 years never broke down or leaked we were only replacing as we are changing our kitchen). He also laughed at the remote thermostat saying it looked old fashioned. He did however give good advice about the boiler we wanted and checked that it would work with our current flue. We decided to go ahead with the boiler costing 2300 which was over our original budget but thought it was going to be worth the 7 years service it came with, plus the business is local and we like to support local and small businesses. 2 lads turned up to install very polite, again on time, they did damage the floor in a couple of places, this was despite us putting protective covering on the floor. Within 4-5 weeks of installation we noticed the boiler was leaking. We contacted them and they sent someone out immediately. Same lads came out who installed it and looked it over. They took about 15 mins then said right that should do it. Only for us to wake up the next day with the floor wet again. Tried contacting the office on a Saturday morning no one answering, left a message, (the open hours saying 9-1) no call back continued to call we were eventually diverted to David who said he would send someone out - no day or time given. Very dissapointed as when you pay more you expect a better quality product and service. Also the remote thermostat this Worcester boiler comes with is not as good as my old one as the temperature goes up in halves, so thanks for the slightly updated one however my old fashioned one was more accurate! Same people who installed it turned up on Monday morning just after 8, no one had told us this would happen so they were lucky we were in. They supposedly did fault checks and decided nothing to do with the installation must be a fault with the actual boiler. No communication given as to what to expect other than we should be contacted by Bosch and they can take up to 2 days but to continue to use heating and hot water. We had to contact them again to find out when we will be contacted by Bosch by late afternoon as we still hadn't heard anything. Customer contact has been appalling from Whickham Plumbing. We had the Bosch Engineer out the next day, he took the whole boiler apart only to discover the flue has not been installed correctly in several places and then stated our boiler is unsafe to use and has placed a do not use sticker and turned our boiler off for safety reasons. Not good!! Update - after 5 visits from Whickham plumbing and 1 from bosch we are still left with a leaking boiler. 6 weeks on from original fault date. Whickham plumbing have now decided the best thing that they can do is to take the boiler out and they will issue a full refund for us to go elsewhere! So we are now looking for a new plumbing company and while we find someone we have no heating and a leaking boiler (we noticed the leak within a month of installation) We have also discovered the pressure release valve pipe has not been sealed as it has not been soldiered. So can't wait to get rid of this boiler! Not the cheapest heating installers and certainly from our experience not the best installation or service. Sadly I would not recommend Whickham Plumbing to anyone.

I would whole heartedly recommend this company to friends and family. I replaced all of the radiators in my house, a process in itself which wasn't straight forward. Whickham Plumbing & Heating Services guided me through it and advised me along the way. The initial consultation was carried out by David who was extremely knowledgeable and professional. This was followed up by a visit to the showroom where Joanne went through the various styling options and offered her advice. The showroom was great for me as it allowed me to see the actual quality of the product prior to spending a lot of money. A number of staff were on site to remove my old radiators and fit the new ones, all of them were absolutely lovely and left the house clean and tidy. Just a great job all round, I'm one very happy customer! Service: Heating system installation
