Dytham Jewellery Designers

We came to Dytham on 17th November to get a special pendant made for my father in law for his wife's birthday on the 30th November. It was a short turnaround as he was terminally ill. The staff were sympathetic and went above and beyond to design a beautiful pendant with their initials intertwined. Iy was ready on the 25th! It was very emotional moment when he gave the pendant but now is a treasured gift as he passed just a week later. Its rare to find a business that really cares and creates such wonderful jewellery. After my wife died, I wanted to do something with our matching wedding rings and have them made into a single item (although that was as far as my imagination strayed). I looked around on the web for North East jewellery designers but there werent many and Dytham were the only ones I could find who advertised that they would make an item from existing jewellery, and this was an essential requirement. Booking an appointment on the web was very easy and when I arrived, my appointment was with Jemma. She was brilliant. We had a chat and she asked questions which helped concentrate the process and made me consider what item of jewellery I wanted and would wear all the time. I quickly realised that a new ring made from the 2 would be ideal and fitted my need to wear it every day. She then set to work drawing the design in front of me. She incorporated elements of both rings and added additional details. I was over the moon with the design. It was made clear that the appointment was free and I was under no obligation to commission the design. However, it was so right and I paid a deposit there and then. I had regular calls from Jemma updating me on progress. I went in to have the size of the new ring checked before any of the real design and polish would be done. Jemma wasnt in but her colleague was just as welcoming and customer-focused. The design took a little longer than anticipated as they decided that my inscription would be best done by a hand engraver rather than machined and their sub-contractor was particularly busy. However, that didnt bother me as Jemma had explained why it would be better done that way. I received a call about 7 weeks after my initial appointment to say that the ring was ready. Jemma dealt with me and it was quite emotional seeing the fully finished item and how good the quality of the work was. I couldnt have been happier. Highly recommend Dytham. The service was excellent and I always felt a valued customer whoever dealt with me be it in person or over the phone.

I cannot recommend highly enough. I wanted a bespoke fingerprint keyring for Fathers Day with only a couple of days notice. All the staff were really lovely especially with my toddler running amok. I didnt check it until I got home and it wasnt quite as Id imagined (note no error on their part) and they changed it while I waited the following morning without any grumbling! Its a lovely simple keepsake with lots of sentimental value and the business is a gem (excuse the pun)!

For any couple wanting to make their own wedding rings, look no further than Dytham. We had a wonderful couple of days making our own wedding rings with Andy, who was friendly, patient and so passionate about all things craftsmanship. We were guided through the process and absolutely loved the rings that we made; as Andy helped us make very individual rings - that you certainly could not buy in a shop. Great concept, fantastic staff and the end product is just amazing. Thanks to all the Dytham staff for making our rings so special.
