        Best curry in the northeast always consistent love the Rogan Balti and the tikka sagg and my daughter loves the chicken korma

        Not the best takeaway I've had, starts over cooked (burnt) the prawn starter was very bland with lots of onions and not many prawns. The main of chicken tikka garlic chilli was OK at best, chips were hard and undercooked almost white, the vegetable rice was bland as well. First time trying this takeaway coming recommend by friends. I won't be listening to them again if this is supposed to be one of the best around, not a great experience and won't be going again. As for the reply from the owner that "this is your opinion " Yes it is and as a paying customer I have the right to give an honest opinion which I did. No comment in the way of an apology or how could we do better next time.

        Tried here for a change as my usual Indian take away in Hebburn has closed down due to energy costs (thanks Sunak). Used to be good years ago but I find it only average now. Nan bread a little stodgy As a reply to the response I received from the owner of abbeys- Im a paying customer and Ill be the judge of the quality of the meal. Youve lost another star because of management attitude to customers and their honest reviews
