Health and Wellness Retreat at Slaley Hall 17th-19th November 2021. I recently attended a Health and Wellness retreat led by Jude from Ishi Holistic Therapies and Kate Chartres. In beautiful leafy and natural surroundings, the days were broken down into various therapeutic arms for exploration, in a calm and relaxed way. On the first day a visit to the spa for a gentle swim and a session in the steam room made for a relaxing start. Then we met for a welcome drink and evening meal, where we met the whole group from different backgrounds, some, with a wide variety of physical and mental health difficulties etc, coming together to share the experience. During the stay we were treat to relaxation methods and techniques including hypnosis, EDMR, EFT, meditation, mindful walks, yoga, -the list goes on! What made it extra special was the way in which Kate and Jude delivered the sessions, and the lovely people who attended. The group was very friendly and inviting and if your looking for the perfect escape, the wellness retreats are the ultimate self care treat! I recently attended a health and wellness retreat hosted by Jude and Kate from Kate chartres therapies. The retreat has to have been the best couple of days I've had in over a decade. The location was perfect, relaxing and comforting. The atmosphere was calm and safe. The activities were very well thought out and flowed perfectly. I came away from the retreat feeling different. Like a me I hadn't seen in many years. I felt lighter, like I'd released a lot of the things that have been weighing me down. My head was free of the things I don't need in there, things that I can't control, so why have them in there consuming my thoughts and creating bad energy. We don't place enough value on our mental health and wellness. We spend money on high priced skin creams to look after our skin, reduce the wrinkles and even the skin tones, we visit the hairdresser to trim off the split ends or colour over the roots. We buy the best makeup or the latest gadget to make our lives better, to improve our lives and make us happier. Yet when it comes to our mental health and wellness we don't tend to give it the time and attention it needs. I really enjoyed all the sessions, hypnosis, tapping, EFT and EMDR. I will continue to use the tools taught to us at the retreat to look after my whole self, not just what others see, but what is happening on the inside. I thoroughly recommend any of the sessions with both Jude and Kate, however if you can make it to one of their retreats you will not be disappointed. Thank you for such an amazing experience.

I have recently attended a health and wellbeing retreat run by Jude and her friend Kate. The retreat has given me the time and space to be able to just focus on myself and taught me how to prioritise my own wellbeing better. I have learnt strategies to be able to cope with everyday stresses better. The retreat was in a beautiful setting in a safe welcoming environment where I could truly be myself. If you ever get the opportunity to go on a retreat I would highly recommend it, you won't regret investing the time on yourself
