Portion size is smaller than it used to be - theyve recently ditched the cardboard boxes & gone back to paper wrappers (Im guessing to save costs) so portion sizes can be variable, but given economic pressures Im not that surprised that prices are higher - fish and chips that used to cost 7.40 when I first reviewed 4 years ago are now over 10. The mushy peas/curry sauce are also no longer free with a purchase. Still good quality.
My original review from 2018 :
Was worried after the reviews re change of management and price increases / portion reduction so went in tonight and all seemed as usual. Huge cod (about 15 long), 3 big scoops of chips and free peas/curry sauce for 7.40 in total - the portion was so big it managed to fill 2 of us. Maybe complaints re size/price made them go back to the old ways (as the queues were back too) - if so , happy days !
