        I was visiting Whitley Bay from the U.S. and my glasses frames broke. The folks at Steel & Varley kindly spent a lot of time finding a replacement frame that would work and did a perfect job fixing them up. I was thrilled and grateful to have my glasses restored so quickly!

        I have been a customer of Steel and Varley Opticians for over 20 years, I have always found them professional with friendly staff and a personal touch that you just dont get with large chain Opticians. If Carlsberg was a Opticians it would be just like them :-)
