        The congregation of Greenside Parish meet here for worship on alternate Sundays. (Look up Church of the Holy Spirit, Crawcrook for their alternate venue.) This is a lovely building, dating back to the late 1800's when it was apparently built, in part, by local miners. The worship services here are lively, and broadly follow the Church of England traditions in a fairly informal way. The congregation are very friendly and would love to welcome new members, especially young families.
