The bird I had from the rescue was not as described in his advert. I later had to temporarily hand him back due to poor health however providing an accurate description of the bird and behaviour, this still wasnt rectified in his new advert which could put people at risk of harm. Thankfully my health improved and I had him back. Later to find out the trustee I was working with had left. The new ones were rude, unprofessional and degrading. I would not recommend them. The whole experience was stressful and I have had a better experience with another rescue for my other bird. I would avoid as it seems the management is very poor and incompetent.

I have had 3 rescue birds from Safehaven, having Unfortunately dealt with the previous people in charge who weren't helpful whatsoever it was welcome to see they had gone and the new guys have been excellent, I had to re-home a cockatoo that I had been looking after it's a long story to go into here but they quickly sorted the request and I was kept informed when he would be picked up.

If you want to rescue a bird please choose this rescue. Just the most azing life rewarding experience. Very smooth process. Knowledgeable charity owners, genuinely just finding the best homes and changing lives. Talking from my own experience, love our new forever family bird. Thank you safe haven

I have a major change where I need to travel regularly long distance to care for my parents. I reached out for help and advice and had a very unfeeling response back from a trustee. My Mollucan is a home bonded bird, I was told she would not go into a home environment due to noise (she has never been assessed). Could be anywhere in the UK and I won't be given any feedback on her welfare.
