Monkspool Bed & Breakfast

What an amazing place! From the gorgeous front gardens, a warm welcome from Susie, Paulo and Princess Lola (a gorgeous friendly dog who can be kept away if you aren't comfortable with dogs) The rooms in this 300 year old property are beautiful. The bed and bedding was of high quality and comfort. The breakfast was fresh and plentiful and served in a beamed ceilinged dining/lounge. Yoghurts, cereals, homemade preserve, homemade bread and then a cooked meal to order. The garden area at the back is open and has seating, a firepit, pathways and pebbles. Through a gate the ground opens to a glorious pool (not a swimming pool) surrounded by trees, shrubs, ducks and fresh air. There's also a newly positioned Shepherds hut. A romantic place for 2 with quality fittings a small log burner, kitchen and shower room. A small fenced off patio with seating and a BBq finishes it off. A very special find and we hope to return soon. X

Denise and myself had a lovely couple of days in an idyllic location, excellent breakfast and a lovely room overlooking the gorgeous gardens, sue and Paolo made us extremely welcome we would definitely come back again, and not forgetting lola the Gordon setter who was adorable, thanks for a lovely stay, home from home love to you both
