        We had a lovely meal at The Gate. The homemade chips are particularly delicious. And the beer got the seal of approval. The staff were very friendly, though not always visible. It's a beautiful old pub inside, the only criticism I have is that there were random boxes and bags around that made the place look messy. I thought maybe they hadn't long moved in, but apparently not. Other than that, though, I'd highly recommend.
