Brilliant, took mom out for a birthday lunch on Sunday. As we walked in, a table closer to the door was made available, as she cannot walk far. The staff were very attentive. The food was beautifully presented. Lots of it, and cooked to perfection. Could not fault it. Made our day. Definitely to be recommended. We will definitely be back. Thank you so much.

Where do I even begin. To start off, I was genuinely befuzzled to discover that if one is to sit outside, one is offered a limited menu. Why does where I sit affect what food I eat? This meant I had to leave my dog in my car, as dogs are for some reason not allowed inside. The next thrilling twist in this story was that when we came to order, and 3 of our table asked for fish and chips, it turned out that there were no fish and chips available, at 1 in the afternoon. Who is coming in and eating fish and chips for breakfast? Nobody. So why was this, and not to mention many other menu items, not available? Our next plight began after we had ordered. It took an hour for our food to arrive, but was it the right food? Absolutely not. The waiter tried to serve us our main courses before our starters had even arrived. So back went the main courses, probably to sit under a heat lamp for 20 minutes while we waited for our starters. Roughly an hour and a quarter after we had sat down, our starters finally arrived. But even after all this time, we were served an incomplete meal. We had to chase down a waiter and ask for the bread we had been promised on the menu. After devouring our starters (we were all ravenous after waiting what was seemingly an age for what was quite literally pieces of meat laid on a plate), we waited another 15 minutes for the main. I cannot criticise the flavour or quality of the food. I can, however, criticise the terrible service, long waiting times - when the restaurant was only half full - and the eye raising expense. Go to Turpin's if you want, but not on a recommendation from me.
