Sorry only one Star I felt two was a bit generous. We wouldve liked to of had our room cleaned properly i.e. maybe pubic hairs removed from the shower walls and on the floor. Over priced at 150 a night, I know its location is great for Twickenham I have to say the staff are very friendly and welcoming and professional but I do expect a clean room as any customer would so I dont think Im asking too much. Would I stay here again yes I think I would because Twickenham is a fantastic area.

Travelodge - Twickenham Thursday 26th January 2023 This Travelodge is next door to Twickenham Station and outside the station there are bus stops so its easy to get to. There is no parking on site and outside is a taxi rank with parking restrictions but you can park in the Arragon Road Multi storey car park, which is a 5 minute walk away. Ive posted a picture of the car park prices and the What3Words location of the car park Entrance to the hotel has steps but there is a wheelchair lift to the right of the steps. Doors to the building are automatic but other internal doors are manual. On arriving the man on reception was very welcoming and helpful. As there was two of us staying we were asked how many keys we wanted; thats a nice touch as all the other Travelodges Ive stayed at just give out one key. He explained that they dont have a daily room service and as we were staying 4 days if we wanted clean towels, extra coffee then we could ask at reception or leave the Top the room up sign on the door. The door to the lifts was manual and the reception/ main doors are on floor 1 not 0. On exiting the lift we had to put our room key in the door to gain access to the corridor to the room. Nice room. It had a TV, small kettle, Coffee machine, hair dryer and an iron and small ironing board. The bed was comfortable as were the pillows. They were two plug sockets with USB ports by the table and a double plug socket on either side of the bed. On either side of the bed there is a small light built into the headboard and on one side there was a dimmer switch for the main lights. There was a bed headboard light which only worked once but the other lights were sufficient. Bathroom was a small pod shower room but it was sufficient for our needs. The main thing was that the room was clean and served its purpose. There is a bar just past reception and is open 24hrs. Downsides: The carpets in the corridors are dirty and stained, which doesnt give a good impression. The sound insulation in the room wasnt the best, you could hear the traffic outside and the trains pulling in and out of the station No parking - Arragon Road car park is about 13 for 6 hours and over, each day. Breakfast: bacon was over cooked, it was like eating cardboard Pros: Great location and as the train station is next door, you can get a train into Kingston, Richmond or straight to Waterloo. Close to Twickenham. There are shops, pubs, restaurants and of course the Rugby stadium is only down the road. The places we were visiting where in easy reach of the local buses, so very handy the buses stopped just outside. They allow dogs so next time I will bring mine along. Staff are polite, helpful and friendly. A couple of times Ive gone to reception to ask something and have come away satisfied; nothing seems to much trouble. Breakfast: apart from the bacon, other things were nice, sausages, mushrooms, scrambled eggs, hash browns and beans. There was a selection of cereals, yogurt and fruit as well as hot and cold drinks all for 9.75 unlimited breakfast. I will definitely stay here again. I use to live local so I know what the area is like on rugby days, so if you are visiting and you dont want to get caught out on a rugby match day you might want to check the fixtures at Twickenham stadium before you book as rugby will effect room availability and on rugby days Twickenham is very busy as are the roads, local buses/ trains.
