My dad was in this care ( tuxford manor ) he had Alzheimer's just got confused sometimes. He used to say to me "they don't want me here." I said "course they do dad". He had bruises on his hands like someone was holding him in front and they was thumb prints in the same place on each hand. When I asked at the home no one knew anything. We always asked questions and they didn't like it as my dad liked to walk about and help out. Then I phoned his mobile on two separate occasions and he was slurring his words couldn't understand him . Another occasion my dad kept falling his knees kept giving way and he would hurt himself because of this. But again, no one knew anything. I used to take my dad out often and bring him back tea time or a little after and he used to say " am I in trouble" he said that abit I said " no dad they now your with me" he used to say it to the carers sometimes too . He used to say about a man at the night time wasn't nice to the residents ( I can't write on her). My opinion is my dad didn't want to just sit there and be a zombie and they didn't like it. It is badly run and looks run down too. I was never allowed in his bedroom ,so we used to sit in the garden. They got rid of my dad and sent him to hospital to be checked out and he ended up staying in hospital and he was so much better no falling and brighter . The care home phoned me up and told me to come and pick his things up as they dont get paid if their in hospital. I never took my dad back there.I could go on and on but I won't. I wish I never put my dad in this care home and wouldn't recommend it. I wouldn't give it one star if I had my choice.

Avoid at all costs. There have been no new reviews if you notice for over 2 years. Its a travesty of the system that they are still able to operate. I've only put one star because I've had to to put a post up. They should be skull and crossbones.
