Disappointed. We had set meal B for 2 ppl. We were charged an extra 1 to change a dish as I'm allergic to mushrooms but the dish we got instead also contained mushrooms even though we told the girl on the phone I was allergic. The meal for 2 was so small! We normally get set meals for 1 (elsewhere) and just order some ribs on the side and we usually have loads left for the next day but I think one person could easily eat this meal for two! So portions are way too small! The sweet and sour container was actually only half full! I am curious how big the dinner for One is??? The beef in oyster sauce smelt like urine, so we didn't finish, the other dishes were just ok. Won't be returning, sad to see the Indian is now closed here so will have to stick with the fish and chips from next door. Dietary restrictions: I changed one dish from Chicken with mushrooms to chicken chop suey as I am allergic to mushrooms but they put mushrooms in my chop suey even though we mentioned this

I've been to China many times and the food there is fantastic. I didn't expect much from this establishment but I do wish that I could find something more authentic. I often wonder whether it is the clientele that drive the need for the tasteless, monotonic dishes or are the proprietors too afraid to stray from the well beaten path of the familiar menu and create something great. When I find a place that dares to do better I'll be the first to give it a 5 star rating.
