Dunham House

We had such a wonderful weekend at Dunham House (24-26th Feb 2023). We had a total of 12-14 ladies in our group and it still didnt feel like we were on top of each other. It is such a characterful house, we enjoyed how the joiner will have had to leave their spirit level in the van whilst working on the doors! Wouldnt hesitate to come back to stay. The hosts have also been fantastic. Thanks Louise & Chris!

Dunham House, like Diamond House which we have also stayed at, is a great mid-budget place for large family gatherings, which makes it a rare find these days. Hosts Chris and Louise are hospitable, helpful and proactive. The decor is attractive without being too hi-spec. There is space for a party of 16 to eat together, and facilities for cooking comfortably for that number. Plenty of bedrooms too and no problem showering all the bodies. We found the house to be warm enough for us at New Year, though we also enjoyed wood fires in the evening.There is a surprising amount to do in an area that is fairly non-touristy as you can head off in a number of directions, whether to Lincoln, Sherwood Forest or local walks. We have used Dunham and Diamond Houses three times now and have always enjoyed our family reunions there.
