We stayed here Sept to Dec 2021. Initially we were really pleased with the site but as time went on we were disappointed that the owners didn't fulfil their promises or our expectations. We were told both sides of our pitch had other seasonals on, this wasn't actually correct, one pitch became a regular touring pitch within 2 weeks of us arriving. The grass wasn't cut as regularly as claimed and when it was the clippings were dumped behind the pitch, ok in winter but summer I'm sure it will smell. The planters had weeds growing in them after the flowers had died. The shower block looked great however wasn't easy to dry yourself in the wet room. As the weather got colder it became apparent that the heater didn't work, also no hot water to the sinks. The smoke alarm also continuously bleeped for about 3 weeks. During storm Arwen we lost our awning as well as 2 or 3 others, at no point did the owners call, text or come over to see if we were ok , very poor . This site could be lovely if the owners gave a little back to the site , our overall feeling was they were more interested in the money than the guests. Plus points Large pitches Close to canal tow path Lovely pub on the canal Close to town Negative points Close to busy A49 No hot water to basins in toilets No heating in shower block Nowhere to dry in shower block , have to balance on one leg whilst trying to dress in wet room. No water on the pitch Grass cuttings dumped behind pitch Weeds in plant pots Annoying combination lock on gate
