Moved a pizza oven over the top of our house onto a plinth in the rear garden. Very tricky job with overhead power lines on a busy road. Very professional operator who worked our how to do it with minimal fuss. Oven delivered to its final resting place within millimetres and couldn't be happier with the service. Highly recommended.

I never leave reviews but on this occasion, Ive thought it necessary to prevent anyone making the same mistake we did by attempting to hire South West Crane Hire. We were due to get a hottub delivered today from Scunthorpe and needed it craned over our house so contact SW Crane hire to see if they could help. Might I add that they never once came to our house to assess the house, driveway, road, etc to see if they could actually accommodate us and instead just said yup, thatll be 600 which makes me think they just want the money and dont take the time or consideration to actually see if they can do the job or not. They asked us what date and time. We said 15th of July but werent sure of the time as the hottub people simply said between 9am-9pm. They said this was fine and that wed been booked for an afternoon slot anyway and so to just keep them updated on the day. The 15th comes and we have a 3pm ETA from the hottub people so I ring the crane company in the morning to give them an update and they said that was fine. However, the hottub people are then delayed by 1hr due to traffic and so I ring the crane company to let them know of this. Theyve then turned around and said no we cant do that now as weve booked another job in Cornwall for 6pm. I understand that they will have other jobs but had the eta have been 4pm for the hottub from the get go, would they still have said no? In which case what was the point in booking us an afternoon slot and waiting for an ETA if they knew they couldnt help us past 4pm. They also then said just leave the hottub on the driveway and we will come on Monday to do it. Its a 7,000 hottub and we have an open driveway on a busy road. Who in their right mind would leave a brand new, expensive hottub open for anyone to pinch should they fancy it!? I told them this and was told that it wasnt their problem and that they could do Monday but not any sooner. After having an argument on the phone with them, weve decided to not rearrange with them and weve had to ring other crane companies and thankfully sourced someone last minute who came out straight away to assess our property and say whether the job was doable or not and now the problem has been solved but with no thanks to SW Crane Hire. I really wouldnt recommend them or waste your time and go with someone else who wont let you down last minute.
