First time customer as normally use another Fish & chip shop in Trowbridge. Read some reviews and my mother whos just had an operation wanted to eat fish and chips and I didnt want to drive out so we opted to use the delivery service and how were we disappointed. Traditionally English Cod is served as a fish shape or something that resembles a fillet. One of the two pieces of cod arrived looking like a square shape ( more like a sandwich than a fish shape ) The fish inside was nice enough but being a square there were no crispy bits you normally get on a proper fish shaped fillet which in our opinion is what gives the batter its taste. We also both upgraded to medium chips. The portion size is more like a small as the small carton was barley filled. The chips were nasty - soggy and no crispness to them at all , nor was there any taste of vinegar or salt to any of the food which was requested on ordering as I clearly ticked the box for both. Not sure if it was a bad day but If I had known the real experience a new customer would have here Id have opted to stay loyal to chip shop we normally pick up from where the chips are like real fish shop chips.
