Mortimer Dental Practice

After years of using NHS dentists in Trowbridge and enduring numerous changes in dentist, failed appointments and general poor service I needed to see a dentist urgently this time last year. Having looked around (Bath and Trowbridge) I decided to give Mortimer Dental Practice "a go." Jackie was my first contact on reception and was excellent in getting me in within a few days. I was booked in with Vanessa who was thorough and excellent with her advice and attention. I needed root canal treatment so then met Dr Pranshu (who does the more complex dental surgery) who, again, was superb. Ultimately the root canal treatment quickly failed (because the tooth was too weak and i was careless before the crown was due to be fitted) and I needed to consider implant surgery but there was absolutely no pressure whatsoever to go ahead. I decided to go ahead with a double implant (replacing a tooth that has been missing for over 15 years) and, now having completed that a couple of months ago, am very happy with it. I went yesterday for my annual check up with Vanessa as well as seeing the hygienist- Mel. Again excellent with great, balanced advice from both. I appreciate not everyone can afford private dentistry - in the great scheme of things I don't think these are the most expensive - but having had to go that route I'm glad I chose this Practice. Everyone - from start to finish - is brilliant. Dr Pranshu is the best I've ever come across having to answer any and every question I had (and there was plenty.) What was potentially extremely traumatic surgery was handled with great care and sensitivity with superb advice and aftercare. I haven't mentioned the Dental Nurses because memory escapes me with names but, again, superb! Katie! I remembered! I left it a year or so before leaving a review (because I wanted any honeymoon period to be well and truly over) but I can thoroughly recommend this practice.

Dawn, was so helpful and professional at helping me get an appointment for a dental emergency. (tried so many places and couldn't get one) Having moved from London to Trowbridge recently i really needed to have my front teeth fixed and within a week i have an appointment. Dawn, called back when she said she would, and has a great friendly phone manner. Plus she loves Rescue dogs! Thank you Dawn and Jackie for sorting this all out. Dan
