I called Complete Preservation to arrange a damp survey and discuss a small leak in my property. They called back the following day, listened to my problem and gave me about 20 minutes of advice and guidance at no charge, potentially saving me thousands of misspent pounds. It was so refreshing to hear someone speak with honesty and clarity about their services, and to dissuade me from spending money I didn't need to spend. Now when I *do* have a damp-proofing project that needs investment and expert attention, I know exactly who to call. Thanks for your help!

Having bought an old farmhouse in need of plenty of work at auction, I asked Complete Preservation to carry out a survey for wood-boring insects. Mr Ross Charters carried out the survey and subsequently visited the property on a number of occasions, including when the local authority Conservation Officer was inspecting proposed repairs. I always found Mr Charters to be extremely professional and knowledgable, very sensitive to the age of the building and very willing to share his experience of many years dealing with period properties. If you are looking for someone who will carefully track back to the real cause of an issue with a property and explain appropriate courses of action rather than the commonly given 'coat it in waterproofing' type advice, I can highly recommend Mr Charters.

Mr Charters subjected me and my family to an unprovoked and deeply upsetting verbal attack over the telephone, when I disagreed with his view. Completely unprofessional and totally unacceptable. He has never apologised to me or my family for the distress caused. This matter is about nothing more than his vulgar, rude and shocking language, which is very unprofessional of him. It is not about any other matter, indeed I have no doubt he can do his job well. When he swore unprovoked abuse over the phone to me, it was on speaker phone and distressed my family deeply. This unfortunate matter, generated by Mr Charters alone, could have been avoided if he had not starting swearing at me without warning or justification or if he had the decency to apologise for having done so. Clearly Mr Charters believes it is acceptable to swear at people without provocation. I will withdraw this negative review in the unlikely event that Mr Charters apologies to me for the distress he has caused me and my family.
