        The Court Street Gallery is tucked away from the main thoroughfares, but it is well worth seeking it out and entering through the turquoise door. The gallery regularly promotes local artists, supports the Cloth Road Arts Week, and holds a myriad of different craft workshops (glass, printing, fabric painting, jewellery making, sewing, textile art, drawing, children's workshops etc). It is light and airy, lots of space and comfy velvet sofas for coffee drinking and chat and very welcoming.

        There are various courses held here, but I attended a candle making course, it was really informative and very relaxed. The tutor was very knowledgeable and not afraid to have a laugh with us. The gallery itself is very well presented and has displays with local handmade items for sale.
