I went to view a property which went quite well. But then it all went downhill. I made sure I called early the next Monday to request an offer form which they said theyll be sending but it wasnt sent so I called again by the end of the day and finally got it. I called and emailed everyday to follow up the offer but agent wasnt there and always got passed around. I finally received a call to find out the offer was refused. Im writing this because Ive noticed stark differences from another letting agent from a different company to where I just recently secured a heavily sought after property. He gave advice and tips on how to make an offer to the landlord so Ill have a good chance of getting accepted.

For viewing the agent essentially just opened the door and I checked around myself. After I was told Id be contacted, they didnt put in my offer until I chased several times. The impression was that nothing would be done unless I called. During the call when my offer was finally made, or so I was told, I had no real confirmation of that other than, I have During the time I was waiting for landlord to respond to offer, at least thats what I was told I was waiting for, I made calls and emails no responses to emails or call backs even though Simon said I would be called back shortly after meetings. The only response I got to my emails was that it had been given to someone else and no feedback was given on that. I think having, or even landlords having a preference for tenants according to various qualities and agents qualifying according to these is part of the job. I know as Im an agent myself. But not even explaining whats happening, giving the impression a tenant is just being ignored or being treated less importantly without explanation, especially during something that can be stressful like moving house is not got practice in my opinion.
