We choose the roundhouse for our sabbatical because of its central location in Cornwall. As we adore walking through the moor (Dartmoor and Bodmin Moor) as well as hiking along the coast path we could reach both from the roundhouse within 20 to 45 minutes by car. Furthermore wonderful beaches like Fistral or Perranporth or the estuaries of Padstow or Fowey are only 60 minutes away. We spent 7 weeks in the roundhouse. It is really fully equipped, e.g. there is even an immersion blender in the kitchen. The "operating manual" of the roundhouse is absolutely comprehensive. In addition to the tips for sightseeing, sports and leisure activities, the maps and catalogues, adresses of banks, patrol filling stations, restaurant and shopping recommendations, security advices (dentist, hospital, vets, opticians ...) etc. it contains the enumeration of the total equipment and the operating instructions of all devices. It was very helpful and we were absolutely impressed. Our endearing hosts, Francesca and Robin, were always attentive and helpful. Once the thermostatic device of the shower was leaky. We told it to Francesca in the early afternoon and left for a walk. Francesca managed to let replace it during our absence and coming back in the evening we had a new one. Many thanks again for the numerous tips and suggestions (not to forget the delicious scones) making our holidays so pleasant, recreative, inspiring and exhilarating. We stayed at The Little Barn, West Tremaine. Host's Helen/Rory where the most lovely of host's nothing too much trouble and very helpful.Cottage very comfortable well equipped. Garden private and very dog friendly. If you are wanting relaxation definitely worth a visit. Wheelchair friendly. Lovely beaches not too far away especially Black Rock, Wide mouth bay, dog friendly all year round. Cafe and toilets.
