I bought a Hwam 3110 from Greyhound Stoves approximately six years ago. In February, the closing hook broke on the door and I contacted David Murphy (owner of Greyhound Stoves) on the 26th February to see whether he could repair this for me. The part was ordered and a payment of 100 was made on 26th March for the fitting and cost of the part. At no point did David or other members of staff tell me that they wouldn't be able to do the work. Very little contact was made from David but he did phone on one occasion in early April (after I had made a call and spoken to a member of staff) to ask which days suited for the fitting to take place. From then, contact was only made by me. Regular phone calls to see when the work would happen were received by a very friendly lady who clearly works in the store, but who didn't have any answers for me. As time ticked on, I became increasingly frustrated that the repair was not being carried out, or even arranged to be carried out. This is despite David entering into an agreement as soon as payment was made. On the 21st May, another call to Greyhound Stoves was received by the lady who works on the desk. She passed me on to David who was breath-takingly rude. He asked, yet again, what days would work for me to have him come to fix the stove. I stated that we had already discussed this and his response was that he shouldn't be expected to remember that. It was agreed that he would come this week, but the conversation ended with David stating that he would come, as long as nothing else came up, and promptly put the phone down. I have honestly never received such appalling customer service. To top it all off, I received a package in the post yesterday which contained a cheque, the springs for the closing hook and the compliments slip that you can see in the picture. It is abundantly clear that David had no intention of ever coming to complete the work, but he was happy to take my money and do nothing about it. I note from reading other reviews that people have been very happy with the work received from Greyhound Stoves. If David went out to do all the fittings, I cannot imagine for one second that the reviews would be so good. I am hugely disappointed and the review justifiably has to be no stars, but I couldn't post my comment unless I left one. So, there you go, David, have that one on me.

Fire totally perfect, heats all the house. Everyone at Greyhound Stoves friendly and work carried out perfectly. Would totally recommend.

We got our stove installed by Greyhound 9 months ago. I wanted to make sure there were no problems before writing a review and I am pleased to say there were 0. The staff were friendly and helpful from consultation to installation. We were kept informed pre-installation and the workmanship Is fantastic.
