The Stag

Absolutely terrible service in the pub, got there with my mate after coming from another pub for one last drink- I ordered a pint for my friend and a still water for myself and he went straight to the fridge to open up a bottle. I clarify I wanted tap water as Im just trying to sober up and save money and he refuses saying to me something along the lines of Im not a customer unless I buy a drink and the one for my mate doesnt count (music was too loud and he wasnt making any effort for me to hear him) and if I want to try that I should go to another pub, then looks me dead in the eye and says in a demeaning tone that he doesnt want to have this conversation with me again as if he was trying to intimidate me or something. I say its cool because I was drunk, felt sick and didnt want to cause a problem and as I didnt really have much else of an option for water I reluctantly buy it. Would recommend to never go to The Stag and do business with this scammer who treats his customers so poorly. What an embarrassing look for what originally appeared to be a good place to end the night, if I ever find myself in this place again Id order another tap water for the laughs and probably leave before this macho man intimidates me more.

Terrible experience. I had booked for two nights in total but I was disappointed I was sharing a bathroom. 1. Bed- you sink into hard springs. Unmatched pillow cases. 2. Shower- water smells of egg. Water doesnt go down the drain. Bottom of the shower was yellow plastic. There is a crack on the wall too. 3. Outside the room is hazardous with items on the floor 4. Next to room is a supposed laundry room with all bits of random things in a messy room so makes you wonder about the maintenance of the staff. Overall not a nice experience. Stayed for a total of 2 hours instead of 2 nights and left to go elsewhere. 3. Room- small with a creepy attic entrance with mould on the wood
