my first time having a haircut here and it gives me great impression, the senior stylist is also good and friendly, he knows what haircut fits on me.

I've had to edit my review, unfortunately. I found menspire in epsom and thought I'd give it a try. Looked good from the outside. Went a few times and felt I was getting somewhere with the barber, talking through exactly what cut I wanted, and with each monthly cut, I felt I was getting closer and closer to what I wanted. And after 3 or 4 cuts, nailed it. The cut was perfection. I couldn't have been happier. The best cut I'd ever had. But then things took a drastic downwards turn. I explicitly stated that I didn't want a high fade, with half my head shaved up high and close to the scalp. 2 cuts in a row they did the exact opposite of what I asked for. I made it extremely clear on every occasion I was there, multiple times, that I don't want a high fade with more than half my head shaved close to my scalp. Gave me the exact opposite of what I wanted. And on 2 consecutive cuts. I thought I'd let the first 1 slide and see if I could get back to the good cut I was happy with before and wasnt a fluke, but no, same thing 2nd time. Ridiculously high fade, was a kids haircut. I am middle aged and go for a more sophisticated cut. Such a shame, as I felt I had finally #1. Found a barber good enough to give me the cut I wanted and #2 got on well with the barber. But must have just been a fluke cut. I felt that between both the barber and myself, after each consecutive cut, we worked towards exactly what I wanted. Then when he nailed the cut i was after, I felt he really understood what i wanted, we had both reached perfection and I'd never felt happier with a cut in my life. But then the next 2 cuts after were terrible. Horrendous. Couldn't be further from what I'd asked for and really p1ssed that i wasnt listened to and really messed my hair up. Shame to say I've not been back since. Must have just stumbled upon the cut I was after, rather than the skill of the barber listening to what I wanted.
