Barclays has become the worse Bank I have to deal with. Their staff are demoralised, partially non existent. They stand around with their tablets looking bored whilst customers struggle with machines that have taken the place of human interaction. The counter is hugely busy as the time limits it is open is so short and inconvenient to customers. I work at a school that collects cash from the pupils for charity, all run by the pupils themselves. Barclays makes it practically impossible to make these payments to these charities. The banks are getting further and further away to travel to where the counter is open. I definitely do not recommend anyone opening an account with Barclays.

The service at Barclays has really nose dived. No one at counter and restricted hours means access is limited. It just feels like a glorified ATM service and hardly any staff to help you.

Im very disappointed with Barclays, Ive tried to deposit my coins 2 times already, 1st they have the bank open but not the cash desk, so I have to leave without having my coins deposited, 2nd time its a week day but of course after 2pm cash desk is also closed! If the bank is open, I think its perfectly reasonable for a customer to expect the cash desk to be open at the same time. If the bank doesn't offer an automated banking facility, then even more so the cash desk should be open. How are people that work supposed to go to the bank to do their banking when the desk is so limited like that?

Terrible bank pouring money into fossil fuels, exacerbating the climate and ecological crisis leading to mass extinction. An NGO report said Barclays is currently the bank providing the largest sums of money to finance fossil fuels in Europe and has increased its investment in fossil fuel expansion, fracking, coal, arctic and offshore oil and gas, and tar sands since 2015.
