I have a small love for trains, but its my boyfriend that absolutely loves them and drags me into model shops. For me not normally an enjoyable experience however I walked in and was greeted with a warm welcome. Allan and Alison were extremely helpful and a we had a right laugh. They had 2 beautiful dogs sunbathing in the back which was the added bonus for me. The perfect A-Team and a really lovely shop. Im so excited to come back soon and see their added shop at the back. Most definitely worth a visit x

Don't let appearances deceive you - it might look like a tiny shop but I guarantee you will buy at least one thing for your N or OO railway if you visit this incredibly chocka stocked shop.... The owners (husband and wife team) are probably the nicest model shop owners I have ever come across, nothing was too much trouble and as an added bonus they really enjoyed a laugh and a joke. I walked away with an 'as new' 2nd hand OO loco - something I normally tend to avoid however considering every second hand item is fully evaluated and all second hand locomotives are fully serviced and tested it was certainly a no brainer given the exceptionally great prices too. They have a repair workshop as well so for anyone struggling with a cherished loco this would be the shop I'd head to if I lived locally. Plus they mentioned that they will be expanding to an additional building behind the existing shop so it's only going to get bigger and better! And one last thing.... they are only a small car journey from the Bluebell Railway and also have a free car park (for the town) very close by to the shop as well. I look forward to visiting again when I am next in this part of the country.
