The Seasons Art Class, Christchurch

Having signed up for the face to face beginners class which was due to start around lockdown the course was then offered via zoom meetings. I wasnt sure how this would work but so glad I went ahead. Ive really enjoyed the experience and learnt so much more having had lockdown time to practice

I have attended classes in the last 4 years in Christchurch, started as a beginner and have progressed as a returner. I have learnt so much applying different techniques in , drawing, perspective, shading, giving a 3D effect with your art work, how to use different techniques using different mediums, pencil, oil pastels, watercolour and acrylic paints. In class I attempted many different types of subjects and in the past have used gold leaf, egg shells in my art work, had a go at Chinese painting, Mexican art, the list keeps growing. I must admit it has been challenging at times pushing my abilities to a new level, but I am so pleased and did not give up, I am enjoying every class always learning something new. I am a much more competent artist now, even looking at exhibiting my paintings around Dorset with fellow artist from the class, we want to show the enjoyment we get from our paintings. I am glad that 4 years ago I kept my sense of adventure and tried something new..
