        Towcester Museum and Visitor Centre is the sort of place that every small town with an interesting past should possess. It tells the history of the town from the Stone Age to the present day. It is especially good in catering for young people with appropriate clothes, armour, swords etc for dressing up and a questionnaire for active involvement in all aspects of the towns history, with a certificate awarded to those who complete it. The staff were especially welcoming, friendly and helpful. The museum is a excellent resource for schools and staff are willing to discuss ways in which they can help to bring local history to life by providing talks, visits etc. Overall, it was an excellent place to spend an interesting and informative afternoon.
