A superb service with great support. The payroll service and off the shelf contract and documents allowed me to find and employ a carer for our mother in her home (having never employed anyone previously). This allowed our mother to stay at home as she wished, until the end, and for us to provide a level of care which would have simply been completely unaffordable any other way. The difficult part was finding the right carer locally and we were very lucky in this respect. However, with the support of You're The Boss, the employment part was relatively straightforward. The portal for adding hours and keeping track of payroll, salary etc worked well and meant that we always knew where we were with payments, pensions, tax etc. I am extremely grateful to You're the Boss for giving us the tools to look after our mother in the best way we could. Their understanding and experience of the challenges around care and employment was reassuring and they were patient in explaining things when I had questions. It's a tough time when someone you love needs care and you may not have the time or skills to provide it yourself, so kindness goes a long way. When you're looking at all the options for caring for an elderly (or non elderly) loved one, particularly if they're very independent and want to stay at home, don't rule out employing someone yourself. It seems scary, but if you find the right carer, it's not, as You're the Boss can take care of the difficult stuff around payroll etc.
