        I just called this number after being advised to by my local branch. I explained that I was in pain, constant ringing in my ears and that I can't properly hear out of it. I was offered an appointment for next Tuesday. OK, fair enough. But when I explained I could not cope with this until next week, I was brusquely told I should "find somewhere else". OK, there's nothing that can be done about appointments being filled-up, but when you're given absolutely no sympathy, no understanding and treated as a nuisance, there is no need for it whatsoever. I would absolutely not consider calling them for help in such matters ever again.

        I received a first class service from the two audiologists who dealt with me this week. My ears were inspected for wax or infection, then given a full hearing test, following which I was issued with hearing aids which were tuned to suit how I prefer to use them. I couldn't have asked for better service. Thank you, Specsavers, and thank you to the NHS which makes this service available.
