How can you be encouraged by companies to not make waste? Well apparently big companies like Boots don't actually care about waste. I went for an eye consultation which was really pleasant, I was recommended to change my glasses/lens. I looked at the glasses in boots but they were all kind of expensive for me. Since my current glasses are in good shape, I though I will just reglaze them which I thought is cheaper. To reglaze my glasses it costs 130, 65 being the lens and another 65 reglazing fee. I looked online and reglazing at other companies is much cheaper. How is possible that buying a new pair of glasses is cheaper than reglazing and old pair of glasses? Isn't the process the same when you buy new glasses? Aren't they going to cut the lense for those glasses based on your prescription? I'm so disappointed!

I would like to share the unique and unforgettable experience I had today at Boots(whetstone) - I have been looking for a new glass frame for over two years now, tried literally all physical and online opticians; few times, I have even ordered from them and the product came faulty or not what I expected at all. Few months ago I also tried my local Boots and just came back home frustrated. I got to the point that I just gave up and kept my broken old glasses, completely hopeless and sad. Today, after leaving the church I decided to pass by my local Boots again just to look around, I saw some frames that caught my attention but wasn't sure about them (at this point I believe God has intervened) and all of a sudden a young gentleman approached me and in a very professional and amazing way helped me to leave the store with my new glasses, including transition lens and anti-glare!!!!!! I really want to praise this staff member and say that Boots has got a GEM working for them. Nowdays, when most of staff members are so careless and useless in business, Boots really got to value AMAR for going above and beyond and truly made my day after more than 2 years searching for the right glasses and lens. I wish AMAR all the very best in his life, you have made an unforgettable difference in somebody's day, not only as a customer but as a person. People like you make us believe that there are still kind, honest and genuine people in the world. Dear AMAR, as I said when I left the store, I am speechless, words are never enough to say how grateful and thankful to you, I pray and wish that you will be always successful in your job and find right support to develop and get you to the top of your career. Your customer service, knowledge and professionalism is truly 11 out of 10! Please Boots look after and recognise staff like this. God bless you all!!!

Not very helpful. Usually use Boots in Oxford St but for the first time used this Boots nearer to home last year. Popped in today to clarify a missing measurement (PD) on my prescription but they refused to help (saying only given if I buy glasses there). Boots Oxford St would have done it straightaway. So I went to SpecSavers down the road I had used before & they gave me the PD measure. I just don't understand why Boots does not employ more helpful staff here. After all, customer retention is lifeblood of their business.

So thorough! The lovely people at Boots Opticians Whetstone managed to fit me in for a same day emergency eye health check when my sight was affected. I offered to pay them and they said it was all covered. So grateful to them and I feel in safe hands. Thank you!
