They don't answer their phone during office hours and they have now switched off the answering machine. I was not happy with their last prescription and they sell pricey glasses in totally impractical spec cases that are the wrong shape to slip in your pocket. I left a message a fortnight back asking for my prescription details so I could go elsewhere - no reply or comeback. Pretty shoddy, though I know of other customers that are satisfied.

I find that this shop has good eye testing but Very expensive repairs ,replacement lenses and frames

Just went to specsavers, thinking I might get a cheap plastic pair of glasses, was informed I needed to have my prescription actually signed by the very optician who did my test. The person on the desk would not do. The wait was very lengthy also. I returned to Peters up the road, the source of the prescription.the frames were just as cheap, the service was so much better though! i will not darken the door of specsavers again, its so nice to be called by your name, and have personal and helpful assistance

Good eye exam. Excellent choice of frames. Helpful staff and a great pair of reasonably priced designer glasses.

Had a great experience at peters optical in Totnes very friendly staff, great eye test, found myself the glasses that I wanted and left very happy. Will definitely be going back.
