After a 5 month meticulous restoration, I took delivery of my 1985 VF1000R last night and I am really impressed with the quality of the restoration whilst retaining the majority of the originality of the motorcycle. This is truly stunning and was bought as an investment piece after a conversation with the very knowledgable Paul Jayson. He has a true understanding of investing in classic bikes and really helped me get past the obvious lower quality classics to get to a real investment grade motorcycle. The people working with Paul should be very proud of the result of their hard work and skills over the past months. Dec 21st, 2020

In early 2020, i read an article about investments in classic motorcycles and about a guy who was ' Fit for purpose' and could and would provide 'Investment grade' motorcycles for those who had an interest both in fabulous 'Yesteryear motorcycles' and a potential long term investment. I had always had a wish to own a bike from my youth, a Laverda Jota. Being one of those silly 'Old Men', who held distant foggy memories of fabulous bikes from my youth that I could never achieve at that time I made the mistake (during the first lockdown) of browsing the web for such a bike. Unbelievably I found one, a perfect match (even more incredibly only four miles from my address). Having wasted ten weeks of my life with calls, text messages etc, I was properly let down by the vendor. Whilst discussing my angst with a friend, I was pointed in the direction of the 'Motorcycle Broker'. This being the same guy I had earlier read about in a newspaper article. Having contacted him and voiced my desire, he came back to me within a few days. He had sourced a Jota. Having seen photo's of it, I paid up front and the bike was procured by him. Within a short time he established that the bike had been resprayed at the original owners request. Its current colour was not original. He also found electrical and mechanical issues from previous upgrades and services. I had no idea with regards classic bike restoration or pitfalls with bikes that are perfect visually, but lacking mechanically or electrically. Be aware Paul Jayson and his team will not let you have your bike (once purchased from them), until it is up to their (exceptional standards). It will arrive with you looking and working better than it did when it first left the production line. He will not rush, cut corners or lower his standards for anyone and should you wish less, my best advice would be not to waste his time. Both he and his team are passionate about their work and what they produce. I personally cannot speak highly enough of them and what they produce. They have ticked my bucket list and adolescent dream of owning not just a Jota, but one of investment grade. As we all know with every review there is always a downside or slight criticism. This review is no different . I find it hugely irritating on attending at his workshops and seeing the incredible machines that he and his team are working on and weaving their magic on, that I am not able at this time to purchase some of his other classics. Perhaps he should have a screen between the workshop and salesroom (or perhaps I should have avoided the last couple of divorces). Joking aside I am over the moon and hugely grateful for the bike I have received from him and his team and am saving every penny with a view to my next purchase from him. Sincere thanks. Paul the Motorcycle Broker makes a myth of the adverse stories you hear regarding Motorcycle dealers / traders .
Prompt, polite and professional service.
I sold my Ducati Sp3 to Paul and was very happy with the price given and no hassle sale.
I advertised my bike privately and was inundated with questions and hassle which lacked any substance from certain interested parties.
I am glad I sold to the Paul and would certainly deal with him and his wife again . Sep 11th, 2021

I have only great things to say about Paul and his team. Paul's extensive list of global contacts means that he can source pretty much any bike you want and deliver it to you in the condition he promises. All bikes go through his thorough due diligence before leaving his premises and anything that needs sorting is sorted before the bike gets to you. Where anything need replacing, Paul only uses the correct parts and ensures that all bikes will pass the most thorough concours scrutiny. If you have a bike to sell, Paul will find you a buyer from his network and take away all the hassle. The bike is collected, brought up to investment grade and delivered to the new owner and you receive the price you ask. Bear in mind, he deals with the very top end of the investment bike world, not your average stuff. Join his Inside Line Member's club on the website as well, you get to hear about the super rare, super interesting stuff first !
This review has been written after experiencing both sides of the process. My new bike is being prepped as we speak and is something very special and which I would not have even dreamed about trying to source myself, had it not been for Paul and his team. There's a lot of very expensive stuff out there - don't make a very costly mistake by buying without speaking to Paul first. Feb 14th, 2021
