South Hams District Council

Appalling bin service collection . As soon as a new recycling scheme was introduced the service went downhill . We do our bit about time the council did the same. Not emptying peoples bins is unacceptable !

Shocked the girl did not know east allington was in the s hams and was very rude with someone who was distressed! I wanted help as eviction letter has arrived a months notice!

Id give a zero if possible. Two years ago the Council allocated our money for five extra recycling containers which they expect us to store. Not only does this create a messy bin strewn town two years on only a co-mingled recycling service is provided to thousands. This is a waste of our money on the redundant containers. Whats even funnier (sarcasm) is the council expect us to spend time each week to sort the recycling out into these containers only to have it co-mingled in one lorry as this will apparently help the transition to the new service when ever that may be! Do we need two to three years practice!! Do the council think we have nothing better to do than futile rubbish sorting. Maybe they could in the interim take back the five containers and use for spares and issue one bag (preferably recyclable). Honestly if they were in business they wouldnt survive with this level of competence.
