Second time I took the cruises, was not as good as the first. I understand why because there was a small child on board. However, I have no complaints about the ride or staff other than the speed. The man driving the boat still made it interesting by doing sharp turns.

Me and my young son went on the fast boat today was really good fun, and amazing view of the needles. Well worth it. He wants to go again next time we are back on the island

Took the fast boat. Quite expensive for 15 minutes but a brilliant experience. Excellent view of the Needles and the coast line; easy payment; terrifying in places as it was a choppy day, but great fun. Would love to go again.

To be fair... considering the low price, it is hard to complain about this tour. BUT as a review for others to make decisions off of, feel it is fair. A 3.5 STARS would be my actual choice. ADVICE - the biggest wait time while we were there was the chairlift. HAD TO do it for the experience (and would recommend the short cheap trip down to the beach), but if you are even moderately healthy... DO NOT buy a return ticket. Take the stairs back up. I'm guessing an easy 5 minute walk or so. OR wait in likely another big line coming back up. We were visiting on one of the busiest days of the year I'm guessing (August/Sunday), so crowds and lines were just part of the deal. But NO line up for the boats. So that was great. We chose the slow boat partially because it was much cheaper and we liked the idea of commentary. That is where this tour seriously drops the ball. Would be such an easy fix and completely change the rating on this review. Had read a couple reviews saying it was hard to hear the speakers, so made a point of sitting right near speakers (front of boat). Nope. Did not help all that much. Partially was due to poor speakers and partially due to the tour guide himself. Nice chap, but not suited for this particular job. A clear and loud voice is a must, but also some enthusiasm in letting us know what we are seeing. It was very drab from the few words we could make out and was for the most part lost on us (and most others that we talked to afterwards). So if taking this boat for the commentary... questionable (although maybe another guide would have me think differently, but sound quality was still poor). Glad we took a visit to Needles, but the less positive things I've mentioned would not make us ever excited about returning to do again. A simple fix and we'd likely be raving about this experience.
