Shame about the service !I have just purchased a 21 plate Transporter and the van is great - no questions 5 stars for the van. The customer communication/care on the other hand was very frustrating. All was fine going through the buying process with Liam (Sales Guy) until I went to collect the van, the van still had finance against it even though it was a VW lease van - so I could not take ownership and had to go home (3 hour round trip) with a courtesy van. A couple of days later the van was delivered to me with 3/4 tank of fuel at my home so all good. However trying to get a reply with questions following payment that I had was hard work, simple stuff like the breakdown cover booklet was not with the van and asking Liam to provide contact details or a copy of the booklet still has not happened, phone not being answered emails being ignored in my mind is not great customer service. I messaged the sales manager and still no reply. Its only little things however I would have given 5 stars if the customer service was taken a bit more seriously.

Shocking, ring the service phone number 5 times a day for 8 days no answer, leave a voicemail ( if the box isnt full) no callback! Only way to get them to answer the phone is to select buy new van option I live 10 minutes from SMG tonbridge and been using them for around 10 years but never again! Its easier driving to sittingbourne, hiring a car for the day and driving home! Such a shame Ann no longer works at SMG ( when customer service was important to them)
