I saw Nigel at the Tonbridge branch today, the best optician I have ever seen, so polite and thorough, took the time to explain many things. Highly recommended. The lady who showed me all the glasses was so helpful too.

The optician I saw was lovely but another worker completed a peripheral vision & eye pressure test with me and was very rude. She made me feel very uncomfortable and anxious during the test because she was being so impatient and aggressive with her commands. She also told me off for "trying too hard" (how can I try too hard in an eye test!?) and said that we'd have to do it again... which made me feel like I was doing something wrong when I was just saying what I was seeing like she asked. Also, they covered one eye by giving me a pair of glasses with one side wrapped in a rough piece of tissue. During this test the lady said I should be seeing more dots than I was saying I was (again, in a horrible tone that made it feel like I was at fault and annoying her), so a bit after this I said wait I need to adjust the tissue because I felt like it was maybe sticking out and covering some of my vision... after this I could actually suddenly see a lot more dots and the test was very quick after this- I definitely feel like the lady should have noticed and adjusted the tissue herself because it was obviously seriously affecting my test results! If I hadn't adjusted it myself I may have been given incorrect prescriptions. With the optician I had a lovely experience- she was very sweet and caring, but the other lady who did these tests was awful.
