We bought a 5 bedroom detached house through Taylor Wimpey in Decemer 2018 and have had nothing but issues with their aftercare team. We have had to have 3 seperate visits regarding plumbing issues so far, - firstly because they wired our heating system round the wrong way so the wrong thermostats were triggering the wrong parts of the system - our control panel for the heating says the wrong time which they tell us cant be changed (but no offer to reinstall this given they messed it up) and 2 visits to fail to fix the problem of water leaking from our header tank through our living room ceiling. Initially they tried to blame us for not re-pressurising our boiler but then the plumber did tell us there was a defective joint and this was probably causing the pressure drop as well as the leak - this was a week ago and we are still waiting for someone to do something - even though the paint is now peeling from our ceiling (and this is after they had to repaint it following their last visit and failure to resolve this ongoing issue). We had issues with our broadband fibre instal which had been damaged on installation and had to be sorted so we didnt have internet capability when we moved in. We have found out that our garage is not showing on our deeds and raised this months ago but even though they keep passing this on to their "legal team" nothing ever happens. We are so disappointed. We have had the usual issues with settlement and cracking and they say they will come out and sort and repaint where this happens but again nothing. They sell you a house (and their sales team are great and not a bad word to say about the care we received BEFORE sale) but then they are really not interested beyond that point. We are still writing them Emails hoping either one of our current issues gets sorted and I am now at the stage of reporting them to Trading Standards under the consumer code for house builders as clearly our house is built to a poor standard in general and it makes me wonder what else will go wrong with it.
